Frequently asked questions
What's a realistic battery life for RC cars and drones?
Typically 10 to 20 minutes of hard driving or flying per charge, whatever the box says. The top-rated models often include spare batteries, which reviewers consistently rank as the feature that matters most.
Do I need to register a toy drone in the UK?
Depends on weight and camera: many toy drones under 250g without cameras need nothing, while heavier or camera-equipped models require operator registration with the CAA. Check the current rules and the drone's listed weight before flying.
App-controlled or dedicated controller: which is better for kids?
A physical controller wins for younger children: proper sticks, no phone required and no drained parental battery. App control adds tricks and programmability that older kids enjoy. Reviews will say whether an app is stable or infuriating.
