Frequently asked questions
What kind of puppet suits a toddler versus an older child?
Soft hand and finger puppets suit the youngest, needing no technique to be funny. Marionettes and detailed character puppets reward the coordination of school-age children; reviews flag which strings tangle.
Are puppet theatres worth the space?
Families who buy them tend to rave: a doorway or standing theatre turns puppets into a repeat activity rather than a drawer resident. Doorway versions rate well for small homes since they store flat.
Can puppets really help with speech and confidence?
Speech therapists and teachers use them for exactly that, and parent reviews echo it: children often speak through a puppet before they'll speak as themselves. A favourite animal character is a good place to start.
