Frequently asked questions
Are budget tablets worth buying?
For streaming, browsing and reading, the well-reviewed budget models are genuinely good now. The compromises show in gaming, camera quality and long-term speed, so match the tablet to the jobs you'll actually give it.
What makes a good tablet for children?
A tough case, solid parental controls and a screen you won't mourn. Kids editions bundle cases and family software worth having, and reviews from other parents cover the drop tests you didn't plan to run.
Can a tablet really replace a laptop?
With a keyboard case, a premium tablet handles email, documents and calls comfortably. The friction appears with heavy multitasking and specialised software, so frequent travellers love them while power users keep both.
