Frequently asked questions
Should I choose feather or nylon shuttlecocks?
Feather shuttles fly truer and are preferred for competitive play but wear out faster; nylon shuttles are more durable and cost-effective for casual and practice sessions.
What racket weight is best for beginners?
Beginners usually get on well with a lighter, evenly balanced racket (around 85-89g), which is more forgiving and easier to manoeuvre while you build technique.
Do I need a specific string tension?
Lower tension gives more power and is friendlier for newer players; higher tension offers more control for advanced players. Many buyers start mid-range and adjust from there.
