Memberships / Family and gift lists
Amazon Kids+, Baby Wishlist and Wedding List
Two of these are free lists with perks attached. The third is a monthly subscription. They get grouped together because families meet all three at once.
| Service | Free trial | After the trial | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Kids+ | Free trial | £3.99 a month | Thousands of books, films, shows and educational apps inside a controlled environment, with per-child profiles and time limits. |
| Amazon Baby Wishlist | Free to create | Free | A shareable list across more than 100,000 baby items, a welcome gift once you spend a qualifying amount on eligible baby products, and a discount on eligible items left on the list. |
| Amazon Wedding List | Free to create | Free | A shareable gift list across the full catalogue, a thank-you tracker, and a gift card for the couple once guests spend past a threshold. |
Prices are Amazon's own, checked on 26 September 2026.
Two free lists and one subscription
The Baby Wishlist and the Wedding List cost nothing to create. They are gift registries: you add what you want, share one link, and Amazon tracks what has been bought so you do not end up with three of the same steriliser.
Amazon Kids+ is the odd one out. It is a rolling monthly subscription for children's books, films, shows and apps, and it continues after the trial like any other subscription.
The lists pay you back, with conditions
Both lists come with perks attached: a welcome gift on the baby list once you have spent a qualifying amount on eligible baby products, a discount on eligible items still on the list, and a gift card for a couple once guests have spent past a threshold on the wedding list.
Every one of those carries conditions, caps and eligibility rules that Amazon can change, so read the promotional terms on the page before you build a plan around the reward. The list itself is the useful part; the perk is a bonus for using it properly.
Making a gift list that actually works
Two things decide whether a registry is worth the effort. First, range: put items at several price points, because guests buying together need something to combine on and a lone guest needs something small. Second, timing: add the bulky, expensive items early, since those are what groups club together for.
Keep the list to one place. A registry split between Amazon and a shop's own service is the fastest way to receive duplicates, which defeats the point of having a list at all.
What to check before starting Kids+
Check which devices your household actually uses. Kids+ runs on Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers and the Amazon Kids app on other devices, and the experience is not identical across them.
Set the profiles and time limits on day one rather than later, because that is the part parents find genuinely useful and the part that gets skipped. Cancelling is done from the Parent Dashboard or the device settings, and it takes a minute.

Free to create
A shareable list across more than 100,000 baby items, a welcome gift once you spend a qualifying amount on eligible baby products, and a discount on eligible items left on the list.
Worth knowing: The welcome gift and the discount both carry conditions and caps, and the list has to be the one you actually share with family.

Free to create
A shareable gift list across the full catalogue, a thank-you tracker, and a gift card for the couple once guests spend past a threshold.
Worth knowing: The gift card is tied to total guest spending on the list, so it only pays off if the list is the route people actually use.

Does it cost anything to create an Amazon Baby Wishlist or Wedding List?
No. Both lists are free to create and share. The perks attached to them have their own conditions and spending thresholds.
When does the baby list welcome gift arrive?
It is tied to spending a qualifying amount on eligible baby products after the list is created, and the current terms are shown on the Baby Wishlist page.
Is Amazon Kids+ the same as Fire for Kids Unlimited?
Yes, it is the same service under its newer name.
How do I cancel Kids+?
From the Amazon Parent Dashboard or from the settings on the device the subscription is used on. It is a monthly subscription with no minimum term.
Can guests buy from the list in a shop?
These are Amazon lists, so purchases are tracked when they are made through Amazon. Gifts bought elsewhere have to be ticked off manually.
ChoiceTally earns a fee when someone starts a trial or creates a list through these links. You pay the same either way. See our affiliate disclosure.
