Nuby Penguin Musical Cot Mobile for Babies sits in our gifts & keepsakes listings, where we rank by how buyers actually rate a product rather than by brand. The manufacturer says: Designed to help encourage your little one to fall asleep in no time, it comes with five gentle calming melodies and super cute characters that rotate around to help soothe baby to sleep. The hanging musical star control is easy to use and enables you to switch between the 5 soothing lullabies with on/off button, as well as adjust the volume and control the rotation. How it compares in Gifts & Keepsakes
Across the 47 rated gifts & keepsakes products we track, the typical score is 4.6 out of 5. This one sits at 4.4, which is in the bottom quarter of the category. That does not make it a bad buy, but there are better-rated alternatives on the same shelf, so it needs another reason to earn your money.
It carries 1,852 ratings against a category median of 1,048. That is enough of a base to take the score seriously without treating it as settled.
On price it sits in the upper third of a category running from £4.90 to £32.00, where the midpoint is about £12.00. Paying above the category norm needs a reason beyond the rating, because the score alone does not justify the gap here.
