Hot Wheels City T-Rex Chomp Down Track Set & sits in our play vehicles listings, where we rank by how buyers actually rate a product rather than by brand. The manufacturer says: Rex who's trying to eat Hot Wheels City Time it just right to knock the dinosaur out and save the day. Kids place the included Hot Wheels car in the police station, then hit the slam launcher to send it through a major loop to the defeat zone. Those are the seller's own claims rather than our testing, so treat them as a starting point. On Amazon it holds 4.5 out of 5 from 6,859 ratings. How it compares in Play Vehicles
Across the 49 rated play vehicles products we track, the typical score is 4.6 out of 5. This one sits at 4.5, which is around the middle of the category. Ratings alone will not separate it from its rivals here, so price and the specifics below matter more than the star count.
It carries 6,859 ratings against a category median of 680. A rating from a large base is harder to distort and tends to hold up over time, so a high score here means more than the same score on a new listing.
On price it sits in the upper third of a category running from £1.59 to £33.89, where the midpoint is about £15.29. Paying above the category norm needs a reason beyond the rating, because the score alone does not justify the gap here.
