AntHouse Acrylic Ant Farm Kit Sand in T-Shape sits in our insects listings, where we rank by how buyers actually rate a product rather than by brand. The manufacturer says: Did you know that ants are social and organised insects living in communities? We don't just want to tell you about it; we want you to experience it firsthand. Thanks to this sand ant farm. Our ant terrarium is made of methacrylate, non-toxic materials for ants. It is durable and transparent, so you can see how the ants build their tunnels. Those are the seller's own claims rather than our testing, so treat them as a starting point. On Amazon it holds 4.3 out of 5 from 129 ratings. How it compares in Insects
Across the 44 rated insects products we track, the typical score is 4.5 out of 5. This one sits at 4.3, which is around the middle of the category. Ratings alone will not separate it from its rivals here, so price and the specifics below matter more than the star count.
It carries 129 ratings against a category median of 61. That is enough of a base to take the score seriously without treating it as settled.
On price it sits in the upper third of a category running from £4.40 to £69.99, where the midpoint is about £9.99. Paying above the category norm needs a reason beyond the rating, because the score alone does not justify the gap here.

- A WHOLE NEW WORLD TO EXPLORE: Did you know that ants are social and organised insects living in communities? We don't just want to tell you about it; we want you to experience it firsthand. Thanks to this sand ant farm, you can discover this fascinating universe. Our ant terrarium consists of an acrylic sandwich where the ants will create their tunnels and settle, and a foraging box to store their food and use as a rubbish bin.
- SAFETY FOR YOU AND YOUR ANTS: Our ant terrarium is made of methacrylate, non-toxic materials for ants. It is durable and transparent, so you can see how the ants build their tunnels. Decorate the foraging box with small plants or stones to make it even more complete for them and fun for you. Give only the best to your ant friends!
- ENJOY FROM THE VERY FIRST MINUTE: The ant farm consists of a sandwich (14x5x14 cm) and a feeding area (15x8x5 cm). First, you'll need to assemble the ant farm, but it's very easy and fun! Next, add the sand to the sandwich and moisten it with water using the pipette, gradually to avoid creating a mud pit. In a matter of minutes, the ants will move from the test tube or their old home and will be exploring their new terrarium. What are you waiting for to get started?
- EFFORTLESS MAINTENANCE: At Anthouse, we want you to enjoy your ants without worrying about anything else. That's why their maintenance is as simple as cleaning with soapy water and drying with a cloth. Do not use alcohol or chemicals, as you could cause the material to break. Not sure which ants can live in this ant farm? Don't worry, we include an ant colony (with queen, workers, and larvae), with food and water for 2 weeks, ready to make your home their new home.
- ANTHOUSE, YOUR ANT STORE: Anthouse.es was born in the Lamarabunta ant enthusiasts' forum, where we share our passion for the fascinating world of these tireless insects. With more than 80 models of ant farms manufactured in Spain, we are dedicated to offering quality products for the breeding and care of ants. Your satisfaction is our priority, and that's why we are at your disposal to help you get the perfect ant farm for you.
