Our verdict
These are close cousins, so the choice comes down to a few facts. GREENKINDER has the bigger screen, 3.0 inches against HiMont's 2.4, and lists a 14MP lens and a 1,000mAh battery. HiMont lists about four hours of use per charge. Both give 1080P video, a 32GB card and three rolls of print paper, and both print in black and white on thermal paper with no ink. If your child will look at the screen a lot, go GREENKINDER; if you do not care, buy whichever is on offer.

What they share
Both cameras are listed for ages 3 to 12 and for 1080P video. Both come with a 32GB card and three rolls of print paper, according to the titles. Printing is thermal, so there is no ink or toner, and prints are black and white while photos saved to the card are colour.
The HiMont and GREENKINDER pages cover the same idea: press print for a quick paper strip.
Where they differ
HiMont's listing gives a 2.4 inch screen and a battery it says lasts about four hours after a full charge. The listing also mentions two built in print modes and functions like black and white print.
GREENKINDER lists a 3.0 inch IPS screen, a 14MP lens and a 1,000mAh lithium polymer battery. It adds delayed photography, continuous shooting, flash, filters, photo frames and music, plus scene frames, colour pens and cartoon stickers for decorating prints. We could not find a stated battery life for it.
Image quality and expectations
Neither is a serious camera. Kids cameras at this level take soft photos, and thermal prints fade and curl over time. The 1080P video figure is the resolution, not a promise of sharp footage. Think of the print as a toy feature.
Replacement paper rolls are an ongoing cost, so check what size rolls each camera takes before buying more.
Who should skip both
A child who wants good photos is better off with a hand-me-down phone or a simple compact. Very young children may drop a camera, so look for a case. See more in electronic toys.
