Our verdict
Mind the compatibility trap before anything else. Amazon's entry Kindle is the big-ticket item here, its lightest and most compact yet, with a 6-inch glare-free screen and a front light 25% brighter at maximum, rated 4.6 by 22,000 readers. MoKo's case costs a small fraction of that and matches the 4.6 from 12,600 buyers, but it is cut for the 7-inch and 6.8-inch Paperwhite and Colorsoft, not this 6-inch Kindle, so pairing the two is a mistake. Buy the Kindle if you are entering the e-reader world. Buy the MoKo only if a recent Paperwhite or Colorsoft already lives in your bag unprotected.
